Another great BBC site to share … The Little Animal Activity Centre-books. This site offers three interactive books that are animated and quite fun! It should be noted that this is a British site, so some of the words used may not be familiar and/or may be spelled differently for some students. For nonreaders there is the option to have the books read. For use on the SMARTBoard each book presents well and has several opportunities to reinforce both cause/effect and following direction objectives. ENJOY!

Awesome! The BBC site is one of the best teacher resources for working with the SMART Board. The Little Animal Activity Centre and the rest of the literacy activities are outstanding. I also love the games section which has a very cool interface.

I’ve been reading yours for awhile now so figured I should comment back so you know others are out here appreciating your work. My kids really liked the Olympics link on the BBC site you posted. I haven’t had time to investigate the rest of the site, but if it’s anything close to the Olympics page, I’m sure we’ll be making good use of it. I also added the History Channel link (Today in History) to our morning meeting. Those videos are just the perfect length for my kids and my paras like them too.
